There are many blessings that come with hosting Harvest America. Toby is an Indiana local who has hosted Harvest America for the past several years. To give you an idea of what a hosting experience is like and the blessings that come from it, here is Toby’s story:
“Harvest America 2013 and Pastor Greg Laurie rekindled the fire inside of me for church and the Word of God. Before Harvest America 2013 church didn’t seem to be that important to my family. We heard Pastor Greg on a local radio station (88.1)...he was talking about this big event that would be streaming live via an internet connection. I enjoyed listening to Pastor Greg so I found [harvestamerica.com], registered, downloaded the video player app, and hooked it up to our living room TV. We had company over that evening... We all enjoyed the entire program.
After that, I started listening to Pastor Greg every morning and my family started to attend church on a regular basis! My wife and I thought it would be awesome to bring Harvest America 2014 to our community so we did just that. We couldn’t host the event in either of our local churches because neither one has internet service so we held it at our local volunteer fire station.... We had a good turn out and everyone had a great time.
My wife and I missed out on the opportunity to host SoCal Harvest 2015. We decided we were not going to miss out on Harvest America 2016! We hosted Harvest America 2016, in the fire station again. We had a good turnout for such a small community. Everyone had a great time and it was a great way to worship and fellowship with everyone that attended! Harvest America played a large part in my family and I getting back into church and back on the right path!”
