Yinka and Sarod

Harvest isn’t just about ministering to hurting hearts in a lost world; oftentimes those who attend a Harvest Crusade come for the experience of worshipping with other Christians, seeing great bands perform, and hearing a message from Pastor Greg.

Longtime friends Yinka and Sarod met through church and this is their very first Harvest Crusade. Yinka was raised in church but really made a personal commitment to follow Christ by rededicating her life to Him when she was in college. Sarod became a Christian about 10 years ago; he was seeking his purpose in life and started attending church, where he became consumed with the New Testament. To this day, he loves reading the Bible, as well as books by C. S. Lewis and other Christian authors and theologians.

Even though these friends have been walking with the Lord for a while, they both feel there is always work to be done in their lives. Yinka says, “My hope is to be able to discover how I can bring glory to God more through my witness, to be Christ-like through my living example. When we experience eating good food, we want to share that with others so they can see how good it is too; it’s the same with Christ. I want people to know how good a personal relationship with Him can be, by sharing my experience.”  Sarod adds, “I hope the noise of the world will fall away so that God would be seen more clearly.” Timely words Sarod, timely words!
